Welcome Venerable Tolton's tenacity and abundant faith into your home!

This portrait of Augustus Tolton is inspired by a photograph of a young Fr. 'Gus', who born a slave, freed during the Civil War, and persevered through many challenges to become the first black priest in America.

With her original line art design, Catholic artist Alyssa Armento, from Catholic Revolution, captures Augustus Tolton's determined expression, highlighting his unceasing faith in the midst of formidable odds.

Professionally laser cut on sustainably sourced wood for beauty that lasts a lifetime.
